Neosho, the county seat of Newton County, is on the western edge of the Missouri Ozarks. Located in the heart of the Midwest, it is 15 miles south of Interstate 44 on Highway 71 South. In a cooperative effort the Neosho Chamber Department of Economic Development works together with the City of Neosho, Newton County Commission, and state and federal governments to create positive growth and prosperity for all those involved in Neosho and Newton County.
